Small Studio – Startup Tiers
* Rates may increase when your studio becomes substantially profitable or receives significant funding. Rates won’t increase due to initial government grants or subsidies, game competition winnings or smaller publishing/platform/funding deals.
Details:
- No Retainer: Unlike most lawyers, I won’t ask you to pay a retainer fee in advance. I invoice periodically, after I provide services.
- No Nickel and Diming: You won’t get an invoice for phone calls and emails that I can quickly answer in a few minutes.
- No Charge Notarizing: I notarize most of my clients, straight-forward documents for free.
- No Fixed Fees/Estimates: Given the steep discounts I offer small studios and start-ups, I do not provide fixed estimates or offer services on a fixed fees basis.
- Real Time Accounting: At any time I can tell you the fees that have accrued to your account in a given billing cycle.
- Only What You Need: I won’t suggest legal services that you don’t need. For example, most start-ups can’t afford, and don’t really need, to register trademarks and copyrights.
